Winter energy prices expected to rise to three-year high

Ofgem announced an increase to the energy price cap affecting millions of households. The price cap sets the maximum amount suppliers can charge for gas and electricity to customers on standard variable rate tariffs. The increase is expected to result in higher winter energy prices compared to the previous three years.
