DHS issues scathing rebuke after former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms touts cutting ties with ICE

Georgia gubernatorial candidate Keisha Lance Bottoms previously stated that Atlanta ended its cooperation with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement while she served as mayor from 2018 to 2023. The Department of Homeland Security responded by releasing mugshots of individuals arrested in Atlanta, according to a DHS statement. Bottoms is running for governor of Georgia in the 2026 election.
