Apple rescues Hide My Email feature from the privacy scrap heap

Apple announced it will continue using its icloud.com domain for its Hide My Email feature, which generates temporary email addresses for users. The feature allows users to create masked email addresses that forward to their primary inbox while keeping their actual address private. Apple had previously indicated it might discontinue the practice.
