Federal judge slaps down Ghislaine Maxwell petition for new trial as ‘rambling,’ ‘meritless’

Federal Judge Paul Engelmayer denied Ghislaine Maxwell's petition for a new trial on January 2026, finding the evidence against her at trial to be overwhelming. Engelmayer stated in his ruling that Maxwell's challenge lacked merit.
