AI may answer some New Orleans 911 calls

The New Orleans 911 dispatch system uses Carbyne AI software to handle calls reporting vehicle collisions from repeat callers, according to the city's emergency services. Human call-takers retain control of all other emergency calls and retain the ability to take over any call at any time. The system was implemented to reduce wait times during high call volumes.
