Blue state's water failures could threaten food supplies across US, lawmaker warns

California Governor Gavin Newsom has not approved new dam construction in the state, according to a House Republican lawmaker who stated this represents a failure to adequately manage Colorado River water supplies. The Colorado River supplies water to California and six other Western states. The lawmaker did not specify which food supply regions would be affected or provide projections of supply disruptions.
