Christian Convert Who Fled Iran and Was Deported By Trump Finds New Home

Artemis Ghasemzadeh, an Iranian national who converted to Christianity, was deported to Panama in 2025 under immigration enforcement actions. Canadian immigration authorities approved her asylum application, and she relocated to Canada. Ghasemzadeh had previously fled Iran citing religious persecution related to her Christian faith.
