Charlotte man accused of mass shooting threats at 5 schools released days before classes begin

Drew Andres Owens was released from Mecklenburg County Jail three days before Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools students returned to class. Owens had been accused of making threats against five schools. The release occurred despite the pending allegations.
