First Brands Bankruptcy-Payout Plan Rejected by Federal Judge

U.S. District Judge rejected First Brands' bankruptcy reorganization plan on the grounds that its proposed method of raising funds through litigation against company insiders and business partners was not feasible. The defunct auto-parts manufacturer had proposed the lawsuits as a revenue source to fund creditor payouts under the plan. The judge did not approve the plan as submitted.
