The cat-and-mouse game over 3D-printed guns has begun

Cody Wilson announced he developed software to circumvent government-mandated controls on 3D printers designed to prevent manufacturing of firearms. The U.S. federal government has implemented software restrictions on 3D printing devices to block production of untraceable guns. Wilson's announcement represents one of the first public instances of a creator developing a countermeasure to such restrictions.
