Zillow and Redfin settle FTC antitrust case over their rental listings partnership

The Federal Trade Commission and Zillow announced a settlement ending an antitrust case over a 2025 agreement in which Zillow paid Redfin to syndicate listings while Redfin terminated its own advertising contracts and agreed not to compete for multifamily rental listings. The FTC had alleged the arrangement violated antitrust law. Terms of the settlement were not detailed in the announcement.
