Italy Detains German Migrant Taxi NGO Sea-Watch Vessel

Italian Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi announced on Sunday that the government detained and fined a ship operated by Sea-Watch, a German organization that conducts rescue operations in the Mediterranean. The detention order was issued by Italian authorities. Sea-Watch operates vessels that conduct search and rescue missions in waters off Italy's coast.
