Toddler with sun allergy can play in daylight thanks to UV window film
Monday, August 24, 2026
Two-year-old Mollie Murray from Montrose has a rare genetic disorder that makes her extremely sensitive to ultraviolet light. UV window film was installed at her daycare to allow her to participate in indoor activities during daylight hours without exposure to direct sunlight. The film blocks ultraviolet radiation while permitting visible light to pass through. Murray's family worked with her daycare facility to implement the accommodation.
