Sean Grayson, a former Illinois sheriff's deputy, died Sunday while serving a 20-year prison sentence following his conviction in the fatal shooting of Sonya Massey inside her home. Grayson was convicted of second-degree murder in the 2024 incident. The shooting occurred during a welfare check at Massey's residence in Iroquois County, Illinois.
