Review launched into how pub and hotel business rates calculated

A review has been launched into the calculation of business rates for pubs and hotels in England and Wales. The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities announced the review in 2026. Business rates are annual property taxes assessed on commercial properties including hospitality venues.
