Due to need for 'absolute success,' China delays critical Moon launch to 2027

China's National Space Administration postponed the Chang'e 7 lunar mission to 2027, according to a statement from the agency. The mission does not meet the conditions for launch, the agency said. Chang'e 7 is designed to explore the Moon's south pole region and conduct in-situ resource utilization research.
