NY Liberty run pro-trans messages on scoreboard vs Fever as protesters erupt outside arena, refuse interview

The New York Liberty displayed three pro-transgender messages on the arena scoreboard during halftime of a game against the Indiana Fever on February 15, 2026. The messages appeared after the team refunded a paid scoreboard message from Julie Potter, a supporter of Jennifer Sey. Protesters gathered outside the arena during the game.
