Saudis Oil Logistics Roiled Again by Houthis’ Red Sea Threat

Saudi Arabia adjusted oil shipping routes after Houthi attacks in the Red Sea increased risks on alternative pathways previously used when the Strait of Hormuz faced disruption. The attacks affected logistics for transporting Saudi crude oil to global markets. Houthi forces, based in Yemen, have conducted multiple operations against shipping in the Red Sea since 2024.
