Restriction zone scheme for offenders to start in October

Serious violent and sexual offenders will be required to remain within designated geographic zones after release from prison on probation, beginning in October. The restriction zones will cover areas spanning several miles. Offenders who violate the zone boundaries will be subject to enforcement action.
