Trump-appointed judge blocks blue state's crackdown on ICE detention center

A federal judge appointed by President Trump blocked Colorado's requirement for unannounced inspections at a private Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention facility operated by GEO Group in Aurora. The judge cited the Supremacy Clause, which establishes federal law as superior to state law, in the ruling. Colorado had sought to conduct inspections without advance notice at the facility.
