Micron Technology, SK Hynix, Samsung Electronics, and Broadcom are the four largest publicly traded memory semiconductor manufacturers by revenue. Micron designs and manufactures DRAM and NAND flash memory chips used in data center, consumer computing, and mobile devices. SK Hynix and Samsung also produce DRAM and NAND memory but operate significantly larger overall businesses, with Samsung also manufacturing displays, phones, and appliances. Broadcom designs semiconductors and infrastructure software for data centers and networking, with memory production as one component of its business. The four companies differ in their geographic exposure, product specialization, and exposure to artificial intelligence infrastructure spending.
