Germany Should Stop Shutting Off Coal Plants, Grid Operator Says

Germany's grid operator Amprion GmbH said the country should pause further closures of coal-fired power plants to maintain reliable electricity supplies during the transition to renewable energy sources. Amprion, which operates one of Germany's four transmission system operators, made the statement as the country continues expanding its renewable generation capacity.
