Democrats can take the lead on one of the nation’s top issues – data centers

A Democrat argued that data center moratoria reduce union jobs and local tax revenue while slowing artificial intelligence development. The statement was made in response to blanket opposition to data center construction in some Democratic-controlled areas. Data centers require significant power infrastructure and generate property tax revenue for local governments.
