IMO Contradicts Trump Claims on Strait of Hormuz

International Maritime Organization Secretary-General Arsenio Dominguez told Bloomberg TV that the Strait of Hormuz remains closed and that no confirmation exists that mines have been removed from the waterway. Dominguez stated, "Until we have confirmation of demining and security that the vessels are not going to be attacked, I will not call for anyone in the area to take the risk to transit." His position contradicts public statements made by President Donald Trump regarding the status of the strait.
