Substitute teacher arrested after allegedly triggering false active-shooter alerts at 5 schools: sheriff

Lytonja Barfield, a substitute teacher, was arrested after allegedly using the Caddo Parish School Board's emergency alert system in Louisiana to send false active-shooter alerts to five schools, according to the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office. The alerts triggered evacuations and emergency responses at the schools. Barfield was charged in connection with the false reports.
