To Probe Mark Walter’s Business, DOJ Sought Egan-Jones’ Records

The Department of Justice sought records from Egan-Jones Ratings Company as part of a probe into billionaire Mark Walter's business dealings, according to court filings. Walter's insurance companies invested in bonds that were rated by Egan-Jones, which provided ratings for more than one-fifth of those assets, according to industry records.
