US 30-Year Bonds Erase Gains From Bessent’s Buyback Plan

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced a plan to increase buybacks of longer-dated debt on Wednesday. The 30-year bond yield rose following the announcement but retreated on Thursday to levels seen before the plan was disclosed.
