US Job Market Makes Slower but Steady Gains, June Employment Data Shows

Employers added 206,000 jobs in June, down from 272,000 in May, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The unemployment rate declined to 4.0 percent from 4.1 percent in May. Average hourly earnings rose 3.9 percent year-over-year. The labor force participation rate remained at 63.0 percent.
