Japan Medium-Term Bonds See Largest Foreign Outflow Since 2006

Foreign investors sold 2.56 trillion yen in Japanese medium-term government bonds in the previous month, the largest monthly outflow since 2006, according to data from Japan's Ministry of Finance. The sales occurred amid yen weakness and expectations of potential monetary policy changes by the Bank of Japan. Japanese government bonds maturing in 2 to 10 years experienced the outflows.
