Iran Has 'Little Incentive' To Open Strait, Says Former Ambassador Daniel Fried

Daniel Fried, former US ambassador to Poland and former assistant Secretary of State for Europe, said Iranians have little incentive in the near term to allow the Strait of Hormuz to open and that resolving the conflict will require patience. Fried also stated that the US is leaving leverage unused regarding assistance to Ukraine in its war against Russia, arguing that Ukrainian success would also benefit US interests.
