Former Fauci adviser pleads guilty to conspiring to conceal COVID-19 records

David Morens, a former adviser to National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director Anthony Fauci, pleaded guilty to conspiring to evade Freedom of Information Act requests related to COVID-19 research grants. Morens used a personal Gmail account to conduct National Institutes of Health business in order to prevent those communications from being subject to public disclosure requirements. The plea was entered in federal court.
