Democrat Texas Reps Urge Cities to Separate Ties with ICE

Congressmen Joaquin Castro and Greg Casar, both Texas Democrats, called on six Bexar County cities to terminate their 287(g) agreements with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The agreements allow state and local police officers to perform immigration enforcement activities under the Immigration and Nationality Act. Texas law requires all county jails to maintain these agreements.
