Thunderstorm warnings issued for parts of UK with flash flooding expected

The UK Met Office issued weather warnings for northern England, eastern Scotland, and Northern Ireland effective Wednesday. Flash flooding was forecast for the affected regions. The warnings remained in effect through the evening hours.
