Witness gets combative in Tupac murder trial - 'I don't want to send him to prison'

Wednesday, August 19, 2026

A witness in the trial of Duane "Keffe D" Davis, charged in connection with the 1996 death of rapper Tupac Shakur, declined to answer questions during testimony, stating he did not want his answers to result in Davis's imprisonment. The witness said he had limited regard for Davis but objected to providing testimony he believed would lead to a prison sentence. Davis was arrested in 2023 and charged in connection with Shakur's killing in Las Vegas.
