COSCO and CMES, Chinese state-run shipping companies, have reduced operations through the Strait of Hormuz, according to reports. The companies have adjusted routing for oil tankers amid tensions in the region. The Strait of Hormuz is a major shipping chokepoint between Iran and Oman through which significant volumes of global oil transit.
