Single Family Housing Starts Fall to Lowest Level in Nearly Four Years

Construction starts for single-family homes fell 9.9 percent in July to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 808,000 units, according to Census Bureau data released Tuesday. The July figure marked the slowest pace since 2022.
