Kalshi seeks to launch ‘perps’ on equity indexes as it moves in on traditional exchanges' turf

Kalshi filed a regulatory request to launch a derivatives contract tied to the MerQube U.S. Large Cap Index, according to the filing. The contract type, known as a perpetual futures or "perp," would track a broad equity index. Kalshi is a derivatives trading platform regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
