Russia’s Oil Exports Extend Their Slump Amid Ukrainian Drone Strikes

Russian oil exports fell for a fifth consecutive week, with no crude loaded from the Novorossiysk oil terminal during the seven days ending August 16, 2026. Novorossiysk is Russia's largest oil export facility on the Black Sea. The decline followed reported Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian energy infrastructure. Tanker tracking data indicated reduced shipments from alternative export routes during the same period.
