Parkinson’s patient’s years-long tremor vanishes within minutes of new ultrasound treatment

Bud Leavell received FDA-approved focused ultrasound treatment at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Arlington, Texas, and his Parkinson's tremor disappeared within minutes of the procedure. The treatment, known as focused ultrasound, is approved by the FDA for Parkinson's symptom management. Leavell had experienced tremors related to Parkinson's disease prior to the procedure.
