Synchrony, credit card issuer to Amazon and Walmart, partners with OpenAI for ChatGPT shopping

Synchrony Financial, which issues credit cards for Amazon and Walmart, announced a partnership with OpenAI to integrate payment functionality into ChatGPT. According to Maran Nalluswami, Synchrony's chief strategy officer, the integration of payments into ChatGPT is expected to take six to 12 months to complete.
