Virgin takes step towards running Channel Tunnel rail services

Virgin Group has announced plans to operate rail services through the Channel Tunnel, with the company seeking approval to run up to 20 daily journeys to Europe. The firm must obtain additional regulatory approval for operations on overseas tracks before the service can begin.
