China Wants Its Data to Power the World’s A.I.

China is exporting artificial intelligence models along with datasets used to train them. The Chinese government and companies are distributing data that could be incorporated into chatbots and other AI systems used globally. Some U.S. and European officials have expressed concern that Chinese-produced datasets may influence how AI systems respond to queries about China-related topics.
