Alaska runner hospitalized after using bear spray to fight off brown bear on Alaska trail

A runner on Anchorage's Wolverine Bowl trail used bear spray during an encounter with a brown bear and was hospitalized. The incident was the second reported bear encounter in the area within a period of weeks.
