Inflation Is Cooling. But is 2% Out of Reach?

The Consumer Price Index fell in the latest reading, remaining above the Federal Reserve's 2% inflation target. BlackRock's Rick Rieder stated the economy is "in the ballpark" and that raising overnight rates may not effectively bring inflation lower. Market focus has shifted to longer-term bond yields, where fiscal deficits, heavy treasury issuance, and AI-related financing have pushed real rates higher, according to Bloomberg.
