Rep. Andrew Clyde, R-Georgia, called a ruling removing the $200 federal tax on silencers and short-barreled rifles the greatest Second Amendment restoration in a century. The ruling eliminated the tax, which had applied since 1934 under the National Firearms Act. Clyde's statement followed a decision by the Trump administration's Department of Justice.
