Taliban Boasts It Operates 40 Embassies and Consulates Five Years After Takeover

Taliban official Amir Khan Muttaqi said in a BBC interview that the Taliban operates over 40 embassies and consulates worldwide. The Taliban took control of Afghanistan on August 15, 2021. Muttaqi made the statement as the organization approached the fifth anniversary of its takeover.
