Cheap TV boxes may secretly click ads for fraud

Bitsight researchers identified malware on some H96 Android TV boxes that clicks advertisements without user knowledge and routes internet traffic from other users through affected devices' home Wi-Fi networks. The researchers did not specify the number of devices affected or the financial impact of the fraudulent ad clicks. H96 is a manufacturer of low-cost Android streaming devices sold online.
