Google will now allow users to remove visible watermark from its AI generations
Friday, August 14, 2026
Google announced a feature allowing users to disable the visible watermark on images generated by its AI tools. The company stated that removing the visible watermark would not affect invisible digital markers embedded in generated files for identification purposes. Google did not specify a rollout date for the feature. The invisible markers remain designed to help identify AI-generated content regardless of visible watermark settings.
