Cuban ties put powerful US union under microscope over alleged communist influence push

Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Chair Bill Cassidy requested information from the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers regarding the union's contacts with Cuban officials. Cassidy's inquiry followed reports of communications between IAM representatives and representatives of the Cuban government.
