Gov. Maura Healey signed a law on Monday that removed Massachusetts' 24-week abortion restrictions, replacing them with physician judgment. The previous law had required specific conditions be met before abortions could be performed after 24 weeks of pregnancy. The new law leaves decisions on abortions after 24 weeks to the discretion of the treating physician.
